0 - 1 FIRST TRIMESTER:
2 The miracle of conception occurred this week.
3 Fertilized egg implants in the lining of the womb.
4 Size: 0.14". Different cell layers are developing.
5 Heart, brain and skeleton begin to be formed.
6 Size: 0.08" to 0.16". Heart begins to beat.
7 Developing lungs, intestines, liver and eyes.
8 Embryo now becomes a Fetus.
9 Arms and Legs can move.
10 Size: 1.25" to 1.68" . Morning sickness starts to decrease.
11 Fingernails appear. The eye lids are closed.
12 Size: 2.5". Bone centers forming. Head is rounder.
13 SECOND TRIMESTER: FETUS IS COMPLETELY FORMED
14 Size: 3.2" to 4.5". Ears and eyes move more frontward.
15 Fetus may suck thumb. Heartbeat twice as fast as yours.
16 Size: 4.3" to 4.6". Crown to rump length (CR) is 2.25".
17 Weight: 3.5 Oz. A little fat begins to form.
18 First fetal movement may be felt between now and 22 weeks.
19 Size: 5.2" to 6.0". Uterus can be felt just under belly button.
20 Half way through your pregnancy.
21 Size 7.2". Fine hair starting to grow.
22 Eyelids and eyebrows developed.
23 Size: 8". Weight: 1 lb. Body getting more plump.
24 Fetus can hear your voice.
25 Crown to rump length is about 8.8". May hiccup.
26 THIRD TRIMESTER: FETUS GROWING RAPIDLY
27 Size: 15.3". Crown to rump length: 11.2". Weight: 2.0 lb.
28 Can open and close eyes.
29 Your rib cage may feel sore as womb presses upward.
30 Uterus 4" above belly button.
31 Size: 18" total. Crown to rump: 11.2". Weight: 3.5 lb.
32 Most babies have now turned head down.
33 Start attending prenatal classes, if you haven't yet.
34 Size: 19.4" total. Crown to rump: 12". Weight: 4.4 lb.
35 Soft nails have grown to tips of fingers and toes.
36 Fetus moving, blinking, passing urine and kicking.
37 Size: 21" total. Crown to rump: 14". Weight: 6.5 lb.
38 Hair on top of head could be 2" long.
39 All organs developed. May gain 1 ounce per day.
40 Approximate due date to be born.
41 A day may feel like a week. Hang in there.
42 A day may feel like a month. Any day now....
